Supporting the Clinical teams across the Haematology and Oncology Day Case Units, collaborating with key staff members to ensure smooth implementation of complex patient appointment pathways.  

Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to provide a patient focus service is paramount along with a flexible approach to work.

It is essential you remain calm under pressure and show empathy when dealing with the patients and relatives who can be distressed, showing tact and empathy.

An exciting and varied opportunity has arisen to join the Cancer Services Administrative team working as a Ward Administrator across Cherrybrook and Yarty Day Case areas also co-ordinating the Health Care at Home, Boots Nominated Pharmacy and the Medical Ambulatory services.

We are seeking to recruit a self-motivated, well organised and enthusiastic individual. Key responsibilities for this role include supporting the Clinical team on a day to day basis, ensuring patient treatments are booked appropriately in line with the patient clinical pathway and delivery of medications are received in a timely manner.

You will be expected to prioritise tasks using your own initiative and organise your time appropriately. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships across the Multi-disciplinary team. You will be working as part of the wider Administration team and a flexible attitude is required to support the service during these challenging times.

Working Pattern: 28 hours per week, over 3 days. Working two days of 08:00 - 18:00 and one day of 08.00 - 17.30. The day off will be subject to agreement with the Team Leader. There is an expectation that the successful candidate may be required to work a Bank Holiday or Saturday depending on service demands.
