Role Summary

A fixed term opportunity to cover our eLearning Developer whilst on maternity leave. The post holder can be based from either Wonford or Bideford.

The post holder will be responsible for identifying and developing effective digital elearning solutions for training and education. They will support the Trusts LMS and digital learning strategy through the delivery of excellent eLearning which enables learners to learn effectively through digital solutions.

We are looking for an eLearning Designer to cover one of our team who will be on maternity leave. The secondment or fixed term post will ideally start from October 1st 2024 to facilitate a handover period however this is not a guaranteed start date.

The post holder will be responsible for identifying and developing effective digital eLearning solutions for training and education. They will support the trusts LMS and digital learning strategy and identify, develop and maintain eLearning solutions which are engaging and easy to understand. Resolution of end user problems and ensuring digital learning data is trackable and correctly recorded to enable accurate reporting is also key. Keeping abreast of new developments with eLearning and incorporating those into eLearning is also important as we continue to strive to improve the quality of our learning.

As an eLearning specialist the post holder will support Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop high quality eLearning working to NHS, Health Education England (HEE) standards and configure the learning to run on the Trust’s preferred LMS system. The postholder will work with the SME’s to create a step change in the quality of eLearning and ways in which it is developed to increase colleague engagement and provide a better learning experience.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with some flexibility for start/finish times and to work from home. Occasional travel will be needed to other sites within the Royal Devon hospital network.

Interview Date: To be confirmed in August

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
