Role Summary

The purpose of this role is to deliver applications training to Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Acute and Community Healthcare professionals, across various Healthcare locations providing an efficient and accessible training service.

The Clinical Digital Training Team provides a progressive and responsive service across the whole of the RDUH including the Community. Importance is placed on team working to ensure a consistent approach to training delivery, access to training and the sharing of best practice. The adaptable approach of team members is an essential element in supporting the Trust in implementing its Clinical Digital and Trust strategies.

The post-holder will make a significant contribution to service development and modernisation programme of the NHS through the successful delivery of Clinical Digital Division’s programmes, projects, support and the re-engineering of business processes in conjunction with the service.

We are looking to recruit an Applications Trainer here at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Experience of using the Trust Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Epic, the award-winning healthcare system is highly desirable.

The post holder will report to the Digital Training Manager and will be responsible for the delivery of applications training to RDUH Acute and Community Multi-disciplinary Healthcare professionals, across various Healthcare locations. You will be an experienced trainer and use a variety of teaching methods including virtual, classroom-based tutor led and eLearning. A professional teaching qualification is highly desirable. Training will be delivered using dedicated training facilities or mobile IT equipment.

The team is located over two sites Exeter and Barnstable. Based at Exeter you will travel between sites to support and deliver training as required. You will work as part of an existing team of experienced application trainers. Importance is placed on effective team working to ensure a consistent approach to training delivery, access to training and sharing of best practice. The adaptable approach of team members is an essential element in supporting the Trust in implementing Clinical Digital Services and Trust strategies.

We are looking for someone who is capable of providing a responsive and customer focused service to constituent organisations within an SLA framework and will make a significant contribution to service development within the NHS through the successful delivery of Digital training.

You will be joining a supportive environment where you will be encouraged to develop and enhance your professional skills. If you are customer and service focused, have the aptitude to understand the value of technology in a Healthcare environment and can help transform the way we deliver care to patients as part of the wider Clinical Digital team then this role could be for you.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00
