An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ears Nose and Throat Outpatient Department for a full time Band 6 Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team. We conduct a variety of clinics including Head and Neck, Radiology and Cytology, Voice clinics, Micro suction clinic, Emergency treatment clinics, Biopsy clinics, Audiology clinics.

ENT Outpatients is a diverse, Multidisciplinary environment which requires flexible and adaptable skills, an aptitude to learn and a motivation to develop your own skills.

The overall purpose of the Band 6 role is to provide Clinical and Managerial leadership to the Nursing and Multi-professional team. This includes acting as a Clinical Leader and an expert Practitioner who can liaise, guide and advise the Multidisciplinary team and external agencies in the provision of optimum patient care.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and committed to give high quality Nursing care and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will consistently ensure that a patient’s privacy, dignity and psychological well-being is maintained, and at all times, the care given is patient centred.

You need to have excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. We require individuals who are forward thinking, well organised and with a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.

ENT/Surgical experience is desirable.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. The service currently runs Monday to Friday 08:00 - 18:00.
