Role Summary

Provide nursing skills in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the Endoscopy Department and be responsible for the assessment of care and in the development, implementation and evaluation programmes of care for all patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for substantive Band 5 Registered Nurses to join our expanding Endoscopy department.

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, highly motivated and adaptable people who are committed to providing the highest standards of care for our patients.

The Endoscopy Unit currently has five procedure rooms in Exeter and delivers a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in the specialties of Gastro-intestinal medicine and surgery, colo-rectal surgery, respiratory medicine and urology.

We also have a temporary unit with one procedure room based in Tiverton, which with the opening of our new purposed built unit in March 2025 will expand into three rooms delivering a range of diagnostic endoscopic procedures for patients across the Eastern and Northern region of Devon.

These roles are mainly based at our Tiverton site, to initially work in the temporary unit and move across to the new unit in March 2025, however rotational posts through both sites will be considered.

Successful applicants will be supported by our team leaders with a programme of training and external courses.

Please note an initial training period will be carried out at our Exeter site before transferring to Tiverton.

Newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply and will be further supported by our Preceptorship programme.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. 2x 07:30-18:00 , 2x 08:00-18:00
