Role Summary

We are seeking a band 6 Community Nurse Specialist to be an inspirational Team Leader to our team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants based in Ilfracombe and Braunton. 

The whole team covers a large geographical area, and two very busy GP surgeries in Ilfracombe and Braunton. The team provides district nursing service to the local population and its holiday makers.  

This could be a developmental post and requires qualifications in community nursing SPQ or a commitment to undertake this.

The team takes responsibility for the day to day leadership of the team. It is a challenging role where you can incorporate management and clinical skills. 

This position is for 30 hours per week (0.8 WTE) substantive post.  You will be working closely with our other team leads to provide a seamless service across the two areas. This position is primarily based within the Braunton team. There will be an expectation to work across both areas. 

The ideal candidate must be organised and able to work under their own initiative, and also have excellent communication skills. We work closely with all members of the health and social care team to ensure that our patients are supported and enabled to be as independent as possible. We actively support students and developmental opportunities within the team.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5pm as per roster.
