We are seeking a band 6 Nurse Specialist Community to be an inspiration team leader to our team of nurses and healthcare assistants based in Ilfracombe and Braunton Community Nursing Team.

This is an opportunity for personal development or to develop you skills in other areas. There are two positions so hours would be discussed at interview.  You will be working closely with our other team leads to provide a seamless service across the two areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a busy team of nurses and healthcare assistants, enabling them to provide excellent, evidence-based nursing care to patients within their own community nursing case-load. Previous community nursing experience is essential. The candidate should be an inspiring leader who not only thrives on providing excellent practice but also encourages others to develop their own practice. They will be involved in clinical practice and will be a point of contact for advice and support for the team, therefore will require excellent clinical skills in regard to wound management, palliative care and promoting independence for our patients. They will be required to work within a larger multidisciplinary team so excellent communication skills are essential. Experience of managing a large busy team is essential.

 You will be expected to work with students and newly qualified staff promoting personal and professional development. 

This post includes a commitment to work: days, weekends, and bank holidays where applicable to the service.

A full driving licence and vehicle are essential for this role.
