An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, hard-working and compassionate nurse to work within the primary breast care nursing team. This nursing role requires close working and collaboration with all members of the breast care nursing team, together with the wider MDT, across oncology and surgery. It will involve supporting patients across all five aspects of breast cancer care; Primary, Reconstruction, Family History, Personalised care (PSFU), and Metastatic. Previous experience of working with this cohort of patients is desirable, but not essential.
The individual will be expected to work flexibly, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a willingness to advance their own practice, whilst considering the needs of others within the team. They will be expected to support new ways of working including genetics mainstreaming, and new nurse-led clinics.
(With reference to the Job Description and specifically, the Personal Specification, venepuncture and cannulation will not be an essential element required for this role)
Working Pattern: We are looking for someone who is interested in working 24.5 hours per week; Two shifts of 08:00-17:00 and one shift of 08:00-16:00.
