Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nurse for the role of Clinical Nurse Manager on Culm West Ward - which is one of the Respiratory wards. You would be working closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager of Culm East. Culm is a busy acute respiratory ward with a high turnover of patients. You will be helping to ensure the safe running of the ward and effectively managing and leading the clinical nursing team. You will need to be visible and provide professional leadership, setting and maintaining standards of clinical excellence and improving the experiences for patients and staff.
Within this role you will be providing direct clinical care.

We are looking for an experienced Nurse who is motivated, passionate and enthusiastic to provide high quality care to our patients and develop the nursing team and service forward.
Culm Ward is comprised of two wards with 54 beds which includes a 5 bedded High Dependency Unit. We care for acutely unwell patients with a variety of respiratory conditions and clinical needs in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for Culm West which has 28 beds.
The Clinical Nurse Manager role is a pivotal nursing position which helps to deliver excellent standards of care through effective leadership and management. The successful candidate will have a range of experience including respiratory medicine with some experience of leading a team and service management would be desirable.
The post holder will have responsibility for leading and co-ordinating the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of the ward. S/he will adopt a highly visible and accessible approach for patients, their relatives/carers and staff. It will mean that s/he leads by example and empowers staff in their personal and professional development to undertake a greater range of clinical skills to maintain and continuously improve the excellent standards of patient care.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Mainly Monday to Friday, includes long days
