As an Advanced Practitioner Mammographer, you will work as an autonomous practitioner within symptomatic breast services, undertaking a wide range of clinical responsibilities including:

• Advanced interpretation and reporting of mammograms 2D and 3D tomosynthesis mammograms
• Breast and axilla ultrasound assessment
• Delivery of interventional procedures, including:
  • Aspiration
  • Biopsy (Ultrasound guided and stereotactic biopsy
  • Clip marker and Magseed placement
• Participation in weekly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
• Significant involvement in direct patient care, particularly within one‑stop clinics and follow‑up pathways

This post requires the use of advanced clinical judgement and decision‑making, contributing directly to improved patient outcomes and experience.

About You

Applicants should demonstrate:

• MSc in Medical Imaging (or equivalent qualification)
• Evidence of advanced practice in diagnostic breast imaging
• Ability to work autonomously with a high level of clinical responsibility
• Strong communication and MDT working skills
• Commitment to service improvement and quality care delivery
