Role Summary

The role is for an Experienced Nurse Practitioner, who works with a widespread knowledge of Minor injuries and Minor Illness. 

There will be an expectation of supporting the wider team clinically, the post holder will be expected to provide regular teaching and will be required to support the Trainee Nurse Practitioners and the wider team to ensure that we have a team providing an excellent service to the patients. 

The band 7 role will be dependent on experience and therefore it would be vital to bring a portfolio of supporting evidence to demonstrate your competence. 

There would be a probationary period in order to ensure that you are able to demonstrate clinical knowledge.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency department. For an individual practicing at a high standard of knowledge surrounding Minor injuries and Minor illness presentations.  Informal training to the Nurse practitioner team as well as the wider nursing and medical team.

Supporting and developing the Emergency Department to ensure that we are using up to date policies and guidance, with the emphasis on helping to update policies or create new guidance if required.

Working Pattern: A mix pattern of Day shifts, Twilights, Night shifts, throughout the week. A typical shift would be 10 hour days.
