Role Summary
Opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic individuals to join our busy Waste Department.
You will play an integral part in the day to day operation of the Department, ensuring that the collection and storage of all waste streams including hazardous, clinical, domestic wastes and the movement of unclean linen from wards and departments are carried out safely and efficiently.

You will act as an ambassador of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust working as part of a team to ensure that we exceed expectations, carrying out your duties in a professional, polite and helpful manner.
You should have a flexible approach to working with the ability to prioritise your workload and be available to change shifts at relatively short notice (24hrs).
No previous experience in waste handling or the driving of electric tow vehicles is required as long as you have the ability to learn quickly, have a strong work ethic and are physically fit as full training will be provided.
The role will require you to not only being working inside the hospital but also to work outside in the waste yard and in the various waste compounds around the site and in all weathers, appropriate uniform is provided.
You will need to hold a full UK driving licence.

Working Pattern: This is a full time role which covers 7 days a week on a 12 week rota pattern working early, middle and late shifts between 6am and 10pm includes weekend enhancements.
