Urgent Community Response Support Worker

Role Summary

Duties will include provision of personal care, clinical duties where delegated, monitoring the patient’s condition and working with health and social care professionals to ensure that patients are safe and well at home.  You will need great interpersonal and communication skills and be able to connect with individuals with varying levels of understanding. 

Successful candidates will have NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification (or be enrolled to commence/working towards), and ideally have experience of working with older people in a community setting. You will also need to be competent with IT as electronic recording is an essential part of the role. You will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme including support to complete the National Care Certificate.  

You must have a full UK driver’s licence with access to your own vehicle (with appropriate business insurance) as you will be travelling to patient’s homes to care for them.

We currently have a vacancy in the Seaton, Axminster and Sidmouth area. You will be travelling across a wide geographical area, primarily linked to either Sidmouth, Axminster or Seaton Hospital base. You must demonstrate willingness and flexibility to work across multiple sites/localities as the need arises. 

It is essential that you have a kind and caring nature, are patient and able to offer a friendly smile.  You must feel comfortable working on your own supported by a team of professional colleagues.  

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours. The service operates on a 7-day rota system. A mix of early shifts from 07:30 - 15:30 and late shifts from 14:00 - 22:00.  This will include alternate weekends and Bank Holidays.
