This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Nurse or Band 4 Assistant Practitioner, interested in training to become an Orthopaedic Practitioner.

The successful applicant will become a valued member of the Plaster room, working in our busy Trauma & Orthopaedic department at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - Eastern.

Clinical training will be provided by a British Casting Certificate (BCC) holder,  in addition to the successful applicant engaging in self directed study, and completion of the BOA casting syllabus. 

The expectation is that the relevant training will be completed within 12-18 months, and the applicant will attend Stanmore, Royal Orthopaedic Hospital for a 6 week block course.

This course will be fully funded. 

Once the British Casting Certificate (BCC)  is obtained you will work independently applying casts in line with Casting Framework guidelines.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
