Applications are invited for a Specialty Grade Doctor in Urology at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust based at North Devon District Hospital (NDDH).  The successful candidate will join the existing team of five consultant colleagues and one specialty doctor at NDDH.

The two sites, North Devon District Hospital & Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital work closely to deliver urology and oncology care in a clinical network.  The role includes emergency urology and a variety of elective clinical commitments including theatres, outpatient clinics and cystoscope clinics.  The post does not have any out of hours commitments. 

The department has a team of Specialty Grade Doctors and Clinical Nurse Specialists.  

The Trust provides a wide range of district hospital, community health and social care services to over 160,000 residents across North Devon and to thousands of visitors the region receives every summer.  

Located in the South West of England, North Devon is recognised as an area of outstanding natural beauty.  It extends from the edge of Exmoor in the east to Lundy Island in the west and the Taw Valley in the south providing contrasts of moor land, downs, valleys, rugged cliffs and golden sandy beaches, thus providing a range of interests and activities.   

Applicants must be fully registered with the General Medical Council with licence to practice and demonstrate relevant clinical experience to undertake independent endoscopy lists.
