More detail about the role

Love all things ENT? Come and talk to us about how you could be part of our dynamic SLT ENT team!

This is a newly funded substantive role where the emphasis will be on honing your skills with the Benign Voice Disorder caseload, including inducible laryngeal obstruction and gender affirming voice care.

As with all our Band 6 ENT roles, we are keen to support the development of your specialist knowledge and skills across both Benign Voice Disorder and Head & Neck Cancer, and can offer a CPD plan tailored to your needs. You would have access to established Joint Voice Clinics and SLT-led ENT Clinics as well as regular VF, FEES and MDT clinics. Is this your dream job?

Here’s what a team member said: “I have loved working in the SLT ENT team at the Royal Devon in Exeter for the last 2 years! The team is incredibly supportive of my professional and personal development, and offer regular supervision sessions to allow me to work towards specific goals and competencies. The multidisciplinary team is a fantastic source of additional support, and I have valued the opportunity to work with a wide variety of other professionals, including Dietitians and Clinical Nurse Specialists. I have been able to attend regular CPD sessions within my role, including in-house dysphagia and communication forums, in addition to group supervision. I have learnt a lot and continue to learn every day in my role!”

You’d be joining our strong, cohesive SLT service which spans adult acute, community and learning disabilities, and acute paediatrics. We have excellent systems in place for supervision, support and continuing professional development. Our mission is to improve quality of life for people with communication and swallowing difficulties – come and help us do just that!

Please note, the Job Description is awaiting matching and therefore the Banding for this role may be subject to change.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30.

Interview Date: Thursday 16th May 2024.
