We are looking for a passionate Specialist MSK Physiotherapist to join our friendly team, working across Eastern Devon. This position is ideal for someone who is ready to step into a Band 6 role or for an experienced Band 5 looking to develop into a specialist position. We are open to recruiting at Band 5 level for candidates who possess some, but not all, of the required experience and would support you with a development plan.

You will have the opportunity to join our dedicated MSK team based in Seaton and Axminster Hospitals and serving the surrounding community in the heart of beautiful East Devon, close to the sea. You may be required to deliver MSK clinics in the neighbouring cluster of Honiton, Ottery St. Mary and Sidmouth. The post would be ideally suited to an experienced MSK Physiotherapist looking for an opportunity to continue to develop MSK and rehabilitation skills. 

You will benefit from working within a network of friendly MSK teams, all providing community based MSK outpatient services and be supported by a Team Lead and a network of Highly Specialised Physiotherapists/Extended Scope Practitioners. You will need to be enthusiastic and keen to learn with a focus on providing best care for patients and a holistic approach to health & wellbeing. In-house training and supervision will be provided as part of this role and you will be expected to provide a mix of face to face and virtual / phone based appointment options for patients.  Good clinical knowledge and skills will be required alongside strong interpersonal, communication and ICT skills. 

As part of this role you would be expected to support colleagues and students on placement and stay current with the latest evidence –based practice. We have well established rehabilitation pathways including gym facilities at both hospital sites and liaise closely with staff at local community leisure facilities including hydrotherapy.

Training and development opportunities are in high supply here, whether you are interested in clinical or leadership development courses we will support you in finding the best way to grow. We actively encourage CPD and you will have an opportunity to spend time with our range of specialists as part of your CPD.

For those appointed at Band 5, progression to Band 6 will be contingent upon the successful completion of competency milestones. You will be supported through a structured developmental plan, with ongoing guidance to enhance your skills and build confidence. Regular reviews will take place to assess your progress and discuss the potential for re-banding to Band 6 as competencies are achieved.

Support and wellbeing all new team members have a tailored induction and join our award-winning Buddy scheme. You will have a dedicated ‘buddy’ to help you find your feet in the first few days and weeks. Not forgetting, your team will be on hand to offer guidance and support, with your manager providing regular 121s and appraisals. Plus, there’s Trust wide events and activities focussed on wellbeing.

Working Pattern: This role is full-time (37.5hrs per week). We have a flexible working policy that we are happy to discuss to establish suitable options for you and the department.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2026-7 rates, inclusive of a 3.3% pay award implemented from April 2026. If you join before this date,, remuneration will be based on the 2025-6 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2025/26 | NHS Employers)
