Role Summary

As a team leader you would be responsible for overseeing pharmacists and medicines management technicians across these services as well as providing directorate responsibilities and governance.

This role is responsible for ensuring the coordination of medicines reconciliation and medicines optimisation within these areas. The post holder will be embedded into the specialty teams promoting the safe and effective use of medicines as well as ensuring the cost-effective use of resources. The postholder will need to be a confident individual and independent prescriber.

About Us

1 Year FTC

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care for patients in our acute stroke, health care for older persons and neurology wards. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised team leader.

The postholder will also be a key member of the pharmacy team providing supervision and development of pharmacists and maintaining our core services.

The Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is an 800-bed teaching hospital with a pharmacy team of 130 staff. We are recognised as a high performing Trust with a reputation for delivering quality patient care and have recently received a good rating by the Care Quality Commission.

You must be highly self-motivated, able to demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to plan and work, both independently and as part of the wider healthcare team, to deliver excellent pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Working pattern: 37.5 per week

Salary: Band 8a £48,526 – £54,619 per annum
