Role Summary

Join our dynamic and patient-focused team as a service administrator in the West of England Eye Unit. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth administrative operations, supporting both patients and staff. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference while working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Clinic Management: Booking, scheduling, and rescheduling patient clinics and surgeries to ensure efficient workflows.
  • Patient Communication: Providing exceptional customer care, including managing telephone and email inquiries from patients and relatives, often under sensitive and stressful circumstances.
  • Administrative Tasks: Scanning paperwork, editing and sending clinic letters, and updating various databases accurately and promptly.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with the Ophthalmology Clinical Team to deliver a seamless service to patients.
  • Team Support: Assisting and cross-covering other administrative team members to ensure uninterrupted service.

We are seeking a personable, organized, and enthusiastic individual to provide professional administrative support to the Ophthalmology Department within our Surgical Services Division. This role offers a unique mix of challenges and opportunities to grow your skills while contributing to a vital area of patient care.

You will:
