Role Summary
To provide a full and efficient secretarial service to consultants and clinical teams. This will include proof reading/editing correspondence and ensuring that all documentation is produced to an excellent standard, uploading referrals to EPIC, contacting patients for appointments and booking appointments on EPIC.
To liaise with consultants and clinical teams on a daily basis
Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times
Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy
Use multiple computer systems as required within the department such as EPIC (MyCare), MS Office applications
Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times
This role will also involve covering for the wider team in Respiratory when required

Are you interested in joining our friendly and busy Asthma service? We have an exciting role working with the clinical teams across the service including consultants and nursing team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Service Administrator to join the Asthma Team based at Bowmoor House, Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. As an individual we are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a busy and vibrant team, who is able to prioritise their workload, and can remain calm under pressure.
You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven experience in dealing with service users on the telephone. You will be flexible and adaptable with excellent IT skills. You will need to enjoy the challenge of working as part of a busy team yet have the ability to use your own initiative to meet the changing needs of the department and service.
As a Team we are encouraging of personal and professional development, full training and support would be provided to help you learn and develop within this role.
