Senior Staff Nurse (Emergency Department)

Role Summary

Opportunities have arisen for Band 6 positions in the Emergency Department.

Applications are invited from Nurses with experience of emergency medicine (Paediatric or Adult) who have first class leadership qualities and proven abilities to implement change. It is essential that you have a positive outlook and excellent communication skills, together with an ability to inspire and motivate others.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our friendly and proactive nursing team. Significant experience working in all areas of the Department is required. You will be required to take charge of the department so will require excellent organisational and leadership skills.

We are a hard-working department with a strong sense of teamwork.  We have recently expanded our footprint and are in the process of expanding our staffing establishment.
Our department provides a supportive working environment and we are committed to staff development.  

The work and pace can be challenging, there will be plenty of opportunity to put your organisational skills into practice as well as the expert Clinical skills needed. We see all specialities including Paediatrics, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Medical and Surgical.

Please note we are willing to take part time applications too.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, You will be expected to work long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays to meet the needs of the service.
