Role Summary

If you’re looking to develop and shape a pharmacy service for women and children, in a Trust that prides itself on the development of its people then we would love to hear from you. We offer the opportunity for leadership training, involvement in research, teaching and the potential to run your own prescribing clinics as a lead pharmacist based at North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) in Barnstaple.

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was established in April 2022, bringing together the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust to form one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country. Our pharmacy services are now integrated providing core services to a population of 615,000 across Devon.

Our pharmacy department is friendly, successful and ambitious. The Royal Devon is committed to developing services in Barnstaple and wants to bring the very best pharmacists to Devon. You’ll be supported by an established team of pharmacy technicians, a rotational band 6 pharmacist and an engaged network of paediatric and maternity consultants.

The Trust has an electronic patient record (EPIC), a multi-million-pound research facility, a significant development budget and big plans for the future. We are based in Devon in the South West of England; a county renowned for its natural beauty, schools, infrastructure, beaches and quality of life.
