The post holder will provide a professional and effective administrative service to the Community Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service Manager and Team Leaders enabling them to focus on their key objectives.

You will be responsible for following up and monitoring action plans, diary and meeting management and supporting managers to prioritise their workload to meet targets.

This part time (18.75hrs) Senior Administrator role is based within the Eastern Community Division which provides a range of services across the sites. The Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy service delivers locality based outpatient clinics and group work from Community settings across the Eastern Area. 

About the Team

You will be part of the Eastern services MSK Physiotherapy team and will be working closely with the Service Manager and locality Team Leads. The service is friendly, well respected and focused strongly on delivering the best care to patients whilst supporting team members to develop in their roles.

About the opportunity

This is a new role and an exciting opportunity for someone to progress in their Administration/Professional services career. You will be providing professional and efficient administrative support and cultivating a positive and helpful working relationship that enables the Service Manager and Team Leaders to concentrate on their roles. Providing support with crucial organisation, diary management, task management, planning, producing reports, documents, spreadsheets and presentations for example.

You will be expected to highlight and be involved in any quality improvement initiatives that will improve effectiveness and efficiency of the service.

The workload will be interesting and varied and would suit a person who has a can-do attitude to problem solving and is keen on developing a wide range of knowledge and skills. You will also gain a valuable insight into how projects and operational tasks contribute to the wider strategic plan for the Trust.

The service is supportive of flexible ways of working. Your preferred working pattern and hours and base of work will be discussed in interview.

About you

This is a busy and dynamic role and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the below essentials:

  1. Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship skills.
  2. Ability to analyse/interpret a range of complex data in order to identify solutions to service delivery.
  3. A high standard of organisational skills and the ability to adapt to ever changing demands and competing priorities.
  4. Confident in your ability to work on your own initiative, pre-empt and solve problems
  5. Have a proven track record of working well as part of a team
  6. Be able to work flexibly which may include working from home and some travel from base for meetings as necessary.
