Role Summary

Senior Advanced Critical Care Practitioner to join a well established ACCP team.

In this advanced role the post holder will provide expert clinical management and care to patients requiring levels 1-3 care in Critical care in a role traditionally performed by medical staff.

The post holder will function on the medical rota covering Intensive Care.

The post holder will provide enhanced continuity and a high standard of management for deteriorating patients across all areas of the trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Advanced Critical Care Practitioner within Critical Care unit at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation trust. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, ambitious Qualified Advanced Critical Care Practitioner (ACCP) to support the ongoing growth of the new and innovative ACCP programme. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of Critical Care clinical practice and training, working within an experienced and dynamic ACCP team. Recognised as one of the longest standing unit employing ACCPs, having had a significant and active development in the role from its’ inception – this is an opportunity to work alongside a well-established, friendly and supportive team. This is a position working on the medical rota on ICU over the 24/7 period 

The ACCPs work closely with the current extended critical care team and alongside medical colleagues. The ICU is a busy and progressive Critical Care Unit with a clear patient-centred focus with plans to increase critical care capacity. There is an emphasis on developing health care practice through ownership, research/evidence-based practices, commitment and multidisciplinary involvement. As a qualified ACCP seeking to join our team you will hold a full MSc and Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine membership as an ACCP.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
