Role Summary

The post will be rotational, and involve the successful candidate working in our Dispensary, the Aseptic unit and other areas such as Distribution and Procurement. Prior hospital experience is desirable but not essential. Successful candidates will be given full training and development in order to fulfil specialist duties for this post, including participation in accreditation schemes. (if applicable)

We are a department that is committed to the expanding role of technicians, and you will gain experience in many aspects of hospital pharmacy practice in our busy department.

This post provides a unique opportunity to join the pharmacy team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for a highly motivated, adaptable and conscientious full-time registered Pharmacy Technician to join our existing team of Technicians, Assistants and Pharmacists. You must have an eye for detail, work with a high level of accuracy and have effective interpersonal skills.

The Royal Devon was established in April 2022, bringing together the expertise of both the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust.

As a key member of the Trust, you’ll be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients when they need it most.

The role will require you to:

Work in various sections of the pharmacy department undertaking technician duties on a rotational basis, (Dispensary, Aseptic services, Distribution, Procurement) whilst demonstrating professional attitudes and behaviours in line with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) ‘Standards for Pharmacy Professionals’.
