Role Summary
This is an exciting position for a Research Nurse to join the Division 1 Hartland Research Team. The research nurse will primarily be working on cancer studies.
The post holder will be part of a team coordinating and recruiting to studies on the NIHR portfolio at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, this is a busy portfolio of both commercial and non-commercial clinical trials. The post holder will be based at the Royal Devon and Exeter working Monday to Friday- social hours. The job entails collaborative working with extended multidisciplinary teams within the hospital to recruit patients to clinical trials.

Experience in research is not essential as the post holder will be supported by the senior research nurse and full training will be given. The role requires working across both research and clinical teams so the research nurses will need to demonstrate the ability to organise, prioritise and adjust their workload in relation to requirements of a range of studies. IT skills including word and Excel are also a vital part of this role as a large amount of time is spent collecting data on relevant patients.
The research nurses will be expected to supervise and/or mentor student nurses on placement in clinical research. They will also be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of clinical requirements associated with research to ensure optimum delivery of clinical trials.
Previous experience in working in oncology or haematology is desirable for this role.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday- Friday 09.00-17.00
