Role Summary

Rehabilitation Support worker supporting rehabilitation interventions with in-patients in Sidmouth Community hospital 

  • The post holder will be responsible for assisting the therapist and Rehab. Nurse in the delivering and monitoring of treatment programmes of delegated patients as directed by the supervising staff member.
  • The clinical support worker may not receive daily supervision and should be able to take some responsibility for their work and that of others
  • To work within the multi-disciplinary team helping to ensure that the input is integrated into the patient’s overall care and treatment plans

We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Rehabilitation Support Worker to work as part of our Therapy team covering the medical inpatient beds at Sidmouth Community Hospital. You will work as part of a supportive, integrated multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, rehab nurse, Support Workers and Nursing staff. Your role will carry out rehabilitation programmes devised for patients by the qualified therapy staff with the aim of increasing patient independence and facilitating discharge from hospital.

This is a permanent post at 37.5 hours per week and includes some weekend working on a rota basis

Working Pattern: 8am until 4pm
