Caroline Thorpe ward are delighted to advertise job opportunities for a number of experienced Band 5 registered Nurses – full time position (37.5hours). The successful candidates will need to have experience working with children, excellent teamwork and communication skills and be committed to enabling the team to provide excellent standards of care. They must be organised and self -motivated, with a passion for paediatric care.

The successful candidates will • Be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills • Have the ability to forge and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff. • Have the ability to manage a busy workload and to prioritise, quickly find solutions and to focus on the important issues when decision making is essential. • Be flexible and adaptable to change • Have experience in burns and or wound care dressings • Be able to implement knowledge-based theory to practice.

Are you a Children's nurse who enthusiastic and motivated about delivering the highest quality nursing care to children and young people then join our team on Caroline Thorpe Ward and become a valued member of our paediatric team!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a number of children's nurses to join our friendly team within in the Northern area at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS trust. We are an 18 bedded general paediatric unit that consists of 12 inpatients bed, 4 CAU and 2 HDU beds, providing care to a range of conditions such as mental health, surgical, ortho, respiratory, metabolic.

We are a friendly dedicated team of Paediatric nurses, Paediatric Consultants and a range of Clinical Nurse Specialist, all supported by ward manager and Paediatric Matron. The department is committed to continuous improvements  in the service for children and young people and benefits from having a Paediatric Clinical Educator and Paediatric Mental Health Liaison Nurse.

Working Pattern: 37.5 per week, days/nights
