We have a part-time vacancy for a band 5 Nurse to staff our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit on the twilight shift (19:00-24:00hrs, Monday to Friday). We are looking for a person who values team working, who is enthusiastic and has the desire and drive to ensure patients will receive the right care at the right time from staff that are compassionate and caring. You will be supported to develop your skills to care for a wide variety of medical patients in their care journey by the multi-disciplinary team and clinical practice educators.

As a Band 5 Nurse in SDEC you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the department, ensuring high quality care is provided to the patients accessing the service. It is essential the post holder will have excellent assessment skills and be able to deliver treatment as planned. Nursing staff are expected to work closely with the medical consultants, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Acute Medical Unit team. You will need to be proactive and work on your own initiative, whilst demonstrating excellent clinical skills.
Working Pattern: 25 hours per week. Monday to Friday 19.00 - 24.00.
