An exciting opportunity to develop your acute care skills in a Cardiology setting. As a Band 5 you will be given responsibility for a small group of patients within the acute Cardiology setting.

Previous Cardiology experience is not required but recognised. We are proud as a department to offer weekly teaching and we also hold Cardiology bespoke study days, as well as on the job training. With working in Cardiology, we offer great opportunities to further your career pathway, with various Nursing roles.

The Coronary Care is a 7 bedded, high dependency unit, we provide 24/7 care to our patients to ensure that any patient that requires Percutaneous Coronary intervention, is able to undergo this treatment as per NICE guidelines. Working on this unit, you will likely care for patients and their families that have undergone a range of Cardiological Cardiac interventions. For example, Temporary wires, Treatment for VT and Bradycardia. 

We do this through a variety of day and night shifts, of which you would be expected to partake in, in order to support our patients through all aspects of their care. This allows you to create a positive work life balance and work with an assortment of colleagues within the Clinical team.

As a department we strongly believe in ensuring that our team feel well looked after and maintain a good balance of your health and wellbeing. We organise different events throughout the year that is to be inclusive to all. 

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours a week, to include rotation to nights
