Role Summary
This position encompasses leading the treatment pathway of primary breast cancer patients, from diagnosis to treatment, including surgical and oncological treatments. The successful applicant will support the Nursing team to ensure high-quality care for every patient in our care. They will be expected to work closely with the other Band 7s (Metastatic, Personalised care, Family History), together with the Band 8 Reconstruction Nurse to ensure collaborative working within the Nursing team, as well as the wider MDT. They will work clinically, both autonomously in Nurse-led clinics but also supporting the patients when they attend to meet with their Consultants in both Surgery and Oncology.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, driven and dynamic nurse to lead the primary breast care nursing service. The successful applicant will be expected to support the team on a daily basis, to strive for excellence.
We are looking for someone who is innovative and motivated, to drive the changes required, and support the team to meet the ever-changing needs of the patients under our care. There will be an expectation for the development of Nurse-led clinics, and for the nursing team to provide nursing care across all five aspects of breast cancer care; Primary, Reconstruction, Family History, Personalised care (PIFU), and Metastatic.
The individual will be expected to work flexibly, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a willingness to advance their own practice, whilst supporting the needs of others within the team. They will be expected to support new ways of working including BRCA mainstreaming, and new nurse-led clinics.
Working Pattern: We will consider applicants who are interested in a 30 hour - 37.5 hour post, across 4 - 5 days, on site.
