Through the provision of supportive tutors and assessors, Returners are guided through a learning experience, in line with the NMC return to practice (nursing) standards that refreshes the necessary skills required for nursing today.

We will provide you with the support to perform the required 450 clinical practice hours and practice assessment, on our Paediatric in-patient ward. You will be required to commit to a minimum of two shifts or 23 hours per week. Your study days will be online, with Plymouth University, following a 16-week programme.

While you are learning, you will be employed into a role that is the equivalent to a Band 3 within the trust. When you successfully complete your programme, you will be able to continue in the area with a substantive Band 5 registered nurse role.
