Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Specialist Services Division for a Part-Time Booking Clerk/Receptionist at the Fertility Clinic (Fertility Exeter) based at Heavitree Hospital.
This role would suit someone returning to work, with excellent interpersonal skills, communicating with patients and supporting a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, embryologists and counsellors. To support the needs of the department, proven administrative experience and the ability to use their initiative will be required in order to provide an effective and efficient administration service. The successful candidate will have a flexible attitude, the ability to work well within a team and remain calm under pressure. Experience of working in a busy environment with minimal supervision is essential. Previous hospital IT experience would be desirable. Accuracy and attention to detail in this role is essential and must have the ability to deal with patients undergoing treatment in a sensitive manner.
This is a licensed clinic and governed by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority.

- Providing a professional, efficient and effective reception and appointment booking service to patients and visitors in accordance with Trust policies and standards.
- Deliver an efficient administrative and clerical service to the Fertility Team
- Undertake general clerical duties
- Maintain effective communication to both patients and staff in order to ensure the smooth running of a reception and clinical area, outpatient clinic areas; enhancing patient care.
- Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times
- Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy
Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
