Cardio-Respiratory team

We are seeking an administrator / receptionist to join our busy team. The successful
candidate shall have a positive can-do approach and be able to thrive in a busy, often
challenging environment and have a friendly approach to dealing with our patients and
visitors to the department. The post holder shall be able to show a high level of
professionalism whilst providing consistently high-quality reception and administration
services to staff and users of the Cardio-Respiratory Department

As the first point of contact for the department, you will play a key role in providing
professional reception and administrative support. You will be responsible for welcoming
patients and visitors, checking patients in for cardiac and respiratory diagnostic tests, and
responding to telephone enquiries.
The Cardio-Respiratory Department performs a wide variety of cardiac diagnostic
procedures for more than 30,000 patients each year. Excellent communication skills, a
professional manner, and strong IT skills are essential, as much of the role is computer-
based.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

    environment.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • A friendly and professional manner when interacting with patients, visitors, and
    colleagues.
  • The ability to contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.


You should also have:

  • A qualification in Business Administration, Customer Care, or equivalent relevant
    experience.
  • Knowledge of EPIC (desirable; full training will be provided).
  • Good IT skills and confidence using computer-based systems
