Role Summary
To be responsible for providing efficient and effective leadership and management of the Clinical Imaging Information Systems which include CRIS, PACS, IEP, VR reporting, Orthoview, Terarecon, Radiology Ordercomms, Q-Pulse and any other appropriate systems as required.
Work closely with the Radiology Clinical Team, IT and wider Trust to ensure delivery of effective and efficient clinical imaging IT systems for the Northern Radiology service. As well as other services and Healthcare Trusts around the region for the purpose of image sharing and system implementation.
To support implementation of new IT systems within Imaging being a proactive member of the project teams.
Manage and support upgrades to all systems and in conjunction with relevant leads develop, review and communicate an accurate PACS disaster/ recovery plan. Ensure all Users are familiar with and able to operate the plan during planned and emergency downtime.
Lead and ensure all users are registered and trained appropriately to their role and ensure Service Level Agreements and Clinical Imaging Information Systems users expectations are either met or exceeded.
Represent the RDUH Northern site at the Peninsula Radiology User Group.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative person to manage, maintain and progress the Radiology IT imaging systems. The successful candidate should have knowledge of IT, Radiology departments, workflows and equipment, and systems such as CRIS, PACS and EPIC.
They should be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and with regular upgrades and new systems imminent, project management and leadership skills would also be desirable for the role.
They should have good time management skills and high standards to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to an optimum standard, as well as having good interpersonal skills to lead the Radiology PACS team by example and also to liaise interprofessionally with staff from all backgrounds; admin, IT, medical and clinical.
