Quality Manager (SARC)

Role Summary

The Forensic Science Regulator's Code states that evidence recovery during forensic medical examination of complainants of sexual assault eg. at Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC) requires accreditation to ISO 15189 including the Codes. Currently, all SARCs are working towards achieving this accreditation. Devon and Cornwall SARCs and Bristol SARC are looking for a quality manager to support both services to achieve accreditation status.

Devon and Cornwall and Bristol Sexual Assault Referral Centres are looking for a Quality Manager to support both providers to achieve forensic accreditation to ISO 15189 including the codes. The post will be hosted by Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust who have 3 SARC sites in Exeter, Plymouth and Truro but will also support accreditation within University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who provide Bristol SARC.

Both services have been working with the Forensic Capability to move towards accreditation status however we now recognise that we need the expertise of a dedicated Quality Manager Role who can interpret and advise on the implementation of the standards for the South West SARC's.

This new role will be working within and with the support of a wider multi-disciplinary team. 

Applications from candidates that wish to work remotely will be considered, however there will be a requirement to attend the SARC sites, as and when required..

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This is a fixed term contract for 23 months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
