Role Summary
We have an exciting role within the Research & Development Office for a Sponsorship Project Team Manager (Band 7).
This post is an integral part of the R&D Division's core function which exists to provide an efficient support service to deliver research sponsored by the Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with postgraduate degree qualification (or equivalent experience) to support research undertaken by The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for guidance at all stages of the research grant submission process using expert knowledge in accordance with Research Department procedures, Research Governance and legislative requirements and the post-award management of research grants. These awards cover a range of funding sources which include NIHR, Research Councils, Industry, and UK Charities.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is to
- manage, co-ordinate and develop systems and robust processes to ensure that grants are submitted according to sponsor requirements and standards
- have expert knowledge in research governance
- a good understanding of AcoRD guidance
- lead a team of R&D facilitators, responsible for the regulatory approval of successful grants
- build and maintain strong relationships with researchers and key external collaborators
About You
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced research project manager who brings:
- Extensive experience in grant/project management and good scientific understanding.
- A strong understanding of research governance and trial management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to innovation and collaboration.
