We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our dedicated Physiotherapy team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. We have a 30 hours per week, fixed term position (maternity leave cover) running through to 16.8.27.
As part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their inpatient orthopaedic and trauma rehabilitation journey. You will manage a delegated caseload, undertaking assessments and delivering rehabilitation programmes to patients within the ward environment, while working under the guidance of registered Physiotherapists. You will also contribute to discharge planning and support timely, safe transitions from hospital to home or onward care services.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a specialist orthopaedic setting, working alongside experienced therapists who are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

You will be a motivated and compassionate individual with excellent communication and organisational skills. You should be able to work independently within your scope of practice while also contributing effectively as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. A commitment to delivering high standards of care and supporting positive patient outcomes is essential.

Working Pattern: The post includes participation in the weekend and bank holiday rota, currently involving approximately one weekend day every four weeks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapy services seven days a week.
