More detail about the role
We are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic person to join our Pathology IT team. Pathology is one of the most technologically advanced and integrated departments in the Trust, with highly automated digital workflows integrating numerous systems, including Epic, ICE (GP Order Communications System), Labgnostic (Lab-to-Lab referrals system), SafeTraceTx and Instrument Manager, to name only a few. The postholder will be expected to work closely with IMT, pathology colleagues, system suppliers and end users to ensure pathology IT solutions are appropriately configured, maintained and developed to facilitate safe, accurate and efficient laboratory processes.
Previous knowledge and experience of existing pathology systems would be an advantage.
The post is based at either the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, or the North Devon District hospital, with the successful candidate spending up to 2 days at their non-base site per week.

North Devon District Hospital is equally blessed with wonderful beeches and glorious Exmoor countryside within easy reach of the site.
