Role Summary
The post holder will be responsible for providing a Dietetic service to a specialist caseload in Paediatrics; Services will focus around providing Paediatric Dietetic care to inpatients, outpatients, telephone or video consultations and structured patient education sessions. There may be home or school clinic and visits as part of the home enteral feeding caseload. Training of Healthcare professionals on nutrition and diet matters is also required.

Do you have Paediatric experience and would you like to work in a lovely team, with lots of opportunities for development? If so, this could be the job for you! We have a part time, fixed term vacancy for a Band 6 Paediatric Dietitian, covering an acute workload, including clinics and potentially a small case load of tube fed children over the age of one who live in the Exeter, Mid and East Devon Region.
This post is based at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford), but we have developed close links with our Community Nursing colleagues, including respite and school Nurses, and there may be the opportunity to visit and support special school clinics, and home visits. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and team-working skills who loves working with children. In return we can offer you a supportive and friendly working environment within a well-respected team.
The main Hospital site is in the vibrant, historical Cathedral and University city of Exeter that has abundant family amenities and beautiful surrounding countryside. It is situated in the South West region with easy access to the countryside and coast of Devon and Cornwall. It is well served by rail, road and air links. Working Pattern: 15 hours per week, 2 days a week between Monday and Friday, 8:30 - 16:30. Exact days and hours to be confirmed.
