Are you an experienced Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist looking for a new challenge primary care or an established MSK First Contact Practitioner (FCP)?
We are looking for 1 or more candidates on a part- or full-time basis. Band 8a and Band 7 positions available. This role will provide an opportunity to work clinically with the Orthopaedic Interface service (OIFS) in North Devon District Hospital.

These roles will be hosted by the Coast and Country PCN within North Devon and part of North Cornwall. The PCN is located in the beautiful countryside of North Devon and North Coast of Devon and Cornwall, suitable for anyone with a love of the outdoors, surfing and adventure. The PCN are a welcoming team that fully incorporate FCP’s with the primary care team. This provides a unique advantage to any candidate lending support from the OIFS service within the acute Trust and the friendly established primary care multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will work as an MSK FCP in Primary Care based in a GP surgery and partly on non-clinical development of the post and the MSK Pathway for the OIFS service.
There is opportunity to work alongside established ESP/APs within the Orthopaedic Interface Service (OIFS) and develop a portfolio of work over the whole MSK Pathway. Access to radiology, pathology, neurophysiology investigations, in-house diagnostic and interventional ultrasound is available for a range of complex assessment, diagnosis and management of spinal, upper and lower limb conditions. We link closely with the Orthopaedic and Pain Team for an integrated approach to patient management across the pathway.
Successful candidates will have suitable clinical experience to meet Stage 1 of the HEE MSK FCP Roadmap to practice, or a portfolio working towards Stage 1. You will be supported by a team of nationally recognised FCP supervisors in order to complete stage 2 and final FCP Verification through the HEE Centre for advancing practice. We would also welcome more established FCP’s/MSK Clinician looking to progress and develop their leadership skills within an FCP role.
The successful applicant will either have well-established MSK skills and would be keen to develop towards an FCP role with full support and training or an established FCP looking to further develop AP elements of their role.
You will be part of a network of advanced physiotherapy clinicians for peer support and professional development. Time and the opportunity to develop yourself and others will be available.
There is an expectation that you will participate in service evaluation undertaking both audit and research, often sharing your work, at times at conferences and in publications.

Working Pattern: Band 8a 37.5 Band 7 16 hours.
