Our team consists of four Orthodontic Consultants, two Orthodontic Specialty Trainees, one Speciality Doctor in Orthodontics as well as a part time Orthodontic Therapist (in addition to this vacancy). The unit is supported by a well-established team of dental care professionals alongside a bespoke Orthodontic laboratory. It aims to provide a service that is patient-focused, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. The Orthodontic department is situated in a bright and newly furbished open plan clinic environment with X-ray facilities.
In this role you will:
- Provide an orthodontic service implementing care plans and performing non-complex orthodontic procedures.
- Provide a specialist contribution to the clinical management of patients requiring orthodontic treatment working in collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals in order to improve patient care.
- Conduct research and audit on delivery of patient care.
- Facilitate and participate in audit and quality assurance programmes, and promoting evidence based practice.
- Responsible for the teaching, mentoring and assessment of students, trainees and professional staff therefore promoting a learning culture.
We are looking for someone that:
- Enjoys being part of a small team
- Is fabulous with patients
- Has a Diploma in Orthodontic therapy with an active GDC registration.
