We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and well-motivated administrative assistant to join our Ophthalmology Outpatient Team.
The Ophthalmology Service provides care for patients with a variety of eye conditions. The successful candidate will be based in the newly developed Ophthalmology Hub at South Molton Eye Centre however cross cover on other Ophthalmology sites in North Devon may be required on occasion.
In this role you will be working alongside experienced professionals and supported by the Ophthalmology Failsafe Officers and wider admin team. This specialist Ophthalmic area will be running clinics for Diabetics, Medical Retina, Glaucoma and other Ophthalmic conditions.
Previous Customer Care experience with good communication skills is essential as you will be the main point of contact for patients and visitors to the department. The role involves a wide range of administrative duties within the department including booking appointments, answering patient queries face to face and over the telephone, filing patient records whilst working within agreed protocols and deadlines.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week over 4 days
