Role Summary

Tiverton and Cullompton have excellent transport links and we are a short journey off the M5, giving quick access to Dartmoor, Exeter and Bristol. The North Devon Link Road can transport you to the beautiful shorelines of the North Devon Coast, Exmoor and Blackdown Hills, Area of Natural Beauty. You can also access direct trains to London from Tiverton Parkway, taking less than 2 hours.

Are you dynamic, motivated and have a passion for driving forwards change to enhance the lives of your patients? Excited to build a career in Devon? We are looking for a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our large, well-established and friendly team. We manage a varied, domiciliary caseload from post-op rehab, Pathway 2 rehab in care homes to long-term condition management, falls prevention and same-day equipment assessments to keep patients safe at home.

Applicants will require sound moving and handling skills, good problem solving, prioritisation and excellent communication. Our offices are shared with District Nurses, Social Workers and Urgent Care, allowing a high level of integrated working to the benefit of our patients.

The post-holder will require a driving licence and access to a car to complete their community visits. Whilst the majority of shifts are completed 8.30 to 4.30, the successful candidate will be entered onto the team rota for late shifts (either 10-6pm or 12-8pm depending on capacity) and weekends (with toil time provided to compensate). This is to support admission avoidance and facilitate timely hospital discharge to the benefit of our local community. Whilst this advert is for a full-time position, please get in touch if you are interested in part-time hours.

We are committed to the continuing professional development of all our team members and offer a supportive environment with regular supervision, CPD groups, training and peer support. We also have access to a Champion’s Network that links you with therapists who are keen to share the knowledge of their special interest. The successful candidate will support with the supervision and development of students and support staff assigned to them. Excellent IT skills are required to coordinate the smooth running of the service and utilise the benefits of our online patient record system, MyCare.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday with a weekend and bank holiday rota
