Role Summary

The Registered Band 4 Hepatology Nursing Associate position will undertake fibroscan clinics and be involved with testing and treating of viral hepatitis C for Northern and Eastern services. Additional to this they will work as part of the Hepatology Nursing team, delivering an effective and efficient service within the settings of outpatients, community clinics, and inpatient care.

Due to an expansion in the Hepatology Nursing team we have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Band 4 Hepatology Nursing Associate position. As part of the role there must be willingness to travel.

The Exeter Hepatology Nursing service was established in 2001. This is an expanding and progressive service that delivers safe and effective specialised Nursing care to patients with a wide range of liver diseases. You will be well supported by the Hepatology Nursing team. Training will be underpinned by the job specific competencies. However previous experience and knowledge of the complex nature of Hepatology patients would be advantageous.

We are looking for a dynamic person with a genuine interest in liver disease. You must be self-motivating, enthusiastic, organized, computer literate and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to continued personal development. It will be expected to complete documentation in the form of clinical letters, updating databases and multi-disciplinary documents.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
