Neonatal Unit Coordinator/Transitional Care Lead

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated nurse to join our team as transitional care lead (band 6), supporting the launch and ongoing development of our new transitional care ward.

This is a dual clinical role, combining:

  • Leadership of the transitional care ward.
  • Senior clinical oversight of the neonatal unit, when required.

Would you value working in a progressive neonatal unit situated in the beautiful cathedral city of Exeter? Our location offers excellent transport links, with easy access to the M5, Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, and the stunning beaches of the South Devon coast.

Do you have excellent management skills and the ability to lead and inspire a dedicated team?

We have a spacious, purpose-built neonatal unit with 26 cots, and you will join a highly skilled, motivated, and supportive neonatal team. We are proud to have been awarded Gold Standard by the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative.

We are in the process of developing a new Transitional Care area, and this role will take the lead in shaping this exciting new ward. You will also have a key role in developing our vision for our future neonatal outreach service, ensuring seamless care for babies and families as they transition from hospital to home.

We are looking for a nurse who:

· Has experience in a neonatal unit.

· Is Qualified in Specialty (QIS).

· Has a passion for delivering high-quality, family integrated care.

· Is keen to develop and grow as a leader.
