At Castle Place Practice we are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to work 22.5 hours per week over 4 days. This role will provide secretarial support to our GP’s and clinical staff.

Previous experience of working within a GP Practice or other health care provider would be desirable. You must be organised, self-motivated, forward thinking with excellent communication skills.

It is important that the candidate is empathetic towards patients and can remain calm under pressure, be assertive and able to multi task and deal with a high volume of work. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential to be able to undertake this role.

The candidate must be enthusiastic and computer literate, ideally with experience in using EMIS WEB or a similar clinical system. The successful candidate will provide a secretarial support service, dealing with outgoing referrals using Lexacom dictation software, supporting patients with their enquiries with sensitivity and other administrative duties as required.
