The Physiotherapy Team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Eastern Services) are looking to recruit an experienced band 6 physiotherapist with an interest in cancer services to a 22 month (fixed-term) full-time (37.5 hours/week) position. Part-time hours and flexible working will also be considered.

This post is funded by Macmillan, which will enable you to have additional access to learning courses and grants, clinical updates and networking events.

The post-holder will be responsible for providing clinical expertise to patients attending the Living with and Beyond Cancer (LWBC) service delivered across our eastern and northern hospital sites. You will be responsible for providing prehabiitation to patients prior to cancer treatment, as well as rehabilitation post-operatively and support with symptom burden. You will be supported to draw on respiratory, pelvic health and MSK skills alongside specialist oncology knowledge to provide holistic interventions to a varied and complex caseload.

This role will be an integral part of the LWBC team and will provide specialist knowledge and teaching to the staff across the Trust. There will be close liaison with the multi-disciplinary teams in both the acute service and the community. An understanding of community services, 3rd sector and other voluntary organisations will be required.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:15 - 16:30

This is a fixed term contract for 22 months. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
