Role Summary

- The post holder will be responsible for the coordination and organisation of the multi-disciplinary team meetings, and will attend these meetings obtaining and recording relevant information. 

- To collect, record and report cancer information as required in order to meet both national and local requirements.

- To proactively track patients to ensure their pathway through the system is smooth and efficient and achieves appropriate targets.  

- The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of reports, investigations, radiology results and clinic appointments.  

- He/she will be required to work closely and proactively with the clinical teams and work collaboratively within the cancer services team ensuring the consistent delivery of service.

More detail about the role

The MDT Co-ordinator will provide a comprehensive administrative service to support and cover the Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) and ensure the effective management of accurate and timely data to enable clinical decision-making at MDT meetings when required.

You will require experience of working in a customer/patient-focused environment, excellent communication, good organisation and interpersonal skills and have the necessary confidence and competence to work with a wide range of professional staff, internal departments and external organisations. Flexibility and aptitude to work in a fast paced department is important.

The successful applicants will have experience of data inputting using Patient Information Management systems (EPR, PPM or alternative) and have an understanding of information governance.
