Locum Consultant in Clinical or Medical Breast Oncology

Role Summary

Applicants are invited to apply for a Locum Consultant Position in Clinical or Medical Oncology, with a special interest in Breast Cancer to join our established Oncology team. This is a fixed term post for 12 months and is based on a contract of 10PAs, based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

About the Role

The post holders should have a CCT in either clinical or medical oncology and a special interest in breast oncology.

 

There are opportunities for teaching and research opportunities with Exeter Medical School and University and a general interest in clinical research is desirable for all posts advertised as the post holder will be expected to recruit to the Trust NCRI and Commercial study portfolios.

 

Interest in and experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is desirable. We are part of the Peninsula Clinical and Medical Oncology training programme.

Exeter is a historic County Town with a superb Cathedral.  The town is situated in the heart of the South West of England, 30 minutes drive from the wilds of Dartmoor, but within a short distance of glorious beaches and coastline.

 

Applicants must be registered medical practitioners and either be on the Specialist Register, or be within 6 months of completion of specialist training at the date of interview.
